Privacy Policy — Nits
Last updated: 2026-09-24
Nits does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
- Nits does not require an account.
- Nits does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising.
- The images and files you open are processed entirely on your device and are
never uploaded or transmitted anywhere by the app. An image leaves Nits only
when you export or share it yourself, and only to the place you choose.
- Nits requests access to files only so you can open and view them; that access is
used solely for displaying your images and nothing else.
- If you use Save to Photos, Nits asks for add-only access to your photo
library. This lets it save the images you export; it can’t see, read, or change
anything already in your library. You can revoke this at any time in
Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
- When you export, you decide whether the file keeps its metadata (such as EXIF
camera settings and GPS location). Turn off Include metadata to leave it out.
Because Nits collects no data, there is no data to sell, share, or delete.
If Apple’s App Store “privacy nutrition label” asks what data the app collects, the
answer is: none.
